Nike Shoe Cushions.

It only seems natural that Nike start putting in their super soft and cushiony insoles, or 'Lunarlon technology' into some of their skateboarding shoes, the first being Nike SB Eric Koston. Oh what do you know, they've only gone and got him in the ad!



I've got to admit a lot of the imagery in this ad is pretty corny, but it works and it still comes across as cool. I guess that's a sign of a truly great and cool brand.

India Skates.

Now it may just be me, but India is not exactly synonmous with skateboarding. I'm sure it's there in it's hidden corners, but from the evidence of this video and the reactions of the locals, it is far from the norm. In many cities skateboarding is a common sight and often ignored by the busy passers by, simply not wanting to get tangled up in some trucks and board combination.

So the fact that Oxelo Skateboard took some of their skaters to Delhi makes this video all the more interesting instantly. Now throw some tidy film work and some even tidier skating, well my friends, that's the recipe for a great video.

Lucozade: YES.

I'm really liking the direction that Lucozade are heading in, it's new and away from the obvious sport route, appreciating that every walk of life needs some energy. First came the combination of Tinie Tempah and Travis Barker and now it's time for skateboarder Kilian Martin (remember him?), along with a lot of beautiful people at Venice Beach. The ad also features the latest track from DJ Fresh (see tomorrow's Music Monday for the full track). I'm not sure if it's the right choice for the ad, but there's certainly a lovely, yet energetic and intense, summer vibe to this ad, perfect for the Lite Lime Lucozade drink. Hopefully there's more to come from the campaign and well done to Lucozade, they're definitely positioning their brand in the 'cool' bracket.

Grey Nights.

Now it's time for the Brits to do it, and on four wheels. Whereas the last post was very much America suburbs, this is all about the inner-city England feel.

Wizard Smoke

This is VERY cool. Especially in 720p. A group of skaters cover themselves in chalk dust from head to toe and then took to their boards. Some epicness continues.



Just imagine how long they had to clean themselves and their clothes.

Stylist Skates.

Fashion and skateboarding have been friends as much as they have been foes in times gone by, but never have they combined in such a classy and sophisticated fashion as with this piece directed by Atelier Franck Durand. It features freestyle skater Kilian Martin wearing the brand A Man About Town, who's slogan "Babes, bikes, battleships, booze, burgers, boards & beastly behaviour", I don't quite think that it fits, but nevertheless a wonderfully executed video.
